Summary:
Anthropogenic emissions of greenhouse gases will probably result in an effective doubling of the present CO2 concentration within year 2030. According to climate model calculations this will lead to an increase in the global mean temperature of 2-3°C. In Norway one can expect an increase of 3-4°C in the winter temperature, and summera will be 2°C warmer than today. Climate models at their present stage of development, are ridden with large uncertainties and much work remains to be done before the models can give reliable projections for the future climate on regional and local scales.
