VIDIS VIRTUAL CENTRE FOR DISTRIBUTED ATMOSPHERIC SENSING FOR REDUCTION OF POLLUTION PRESSURES

Project details

Status: Concluded

Project period: 2020–2024

Principal: EC/H2020 (952433)

Coordinating institution: VINCA Institute of Nuclear Sciences

Collaborators: Urban Environment and Industry, Atmosphere and Climate, Monitoring and Instrumentation Technology, Digital Technologies, Environmental Chemistry & Health Effects

VIDIS aims to establish a centre of excellence at the Institute of Nuclear Sciences Vinca, Serbia, by developing scientific excellence and transversal skills of its Serbian partners in atmospheric composition and air quality research. The project builds on previous collaboration between the partners in atmospheric research, development and use of low-cost sensor instruments, and development and practical use of advanced health-relevant indicators of air quality related to particulate matter, such as particle number concentrations or oxidative potential. Methods to be used include in-situ and remote sensing methods, and sampling and analysis of particulate matter.
