The topical area study for atmospheric deposition of pollutants. Synthesis report.

A concise review of current knowledge of emission and deposition fluxes of pollutants in the Baltic Sea region is presented together with future trends. Information on environmental legislation concerning emissions is enclosed as well as emission impact analysis. A review of national measures to reduce emissions is presented together with policy, legislation and re- gulating actions, and enforcement instruments. A list of priority actions is proposed.
