PROPAINT. Improved protection of paintings during exhibition, storage and transit. Final activity report.

This report describes the work performed and the results achieved in the EU PROPAINT project (SSPI –044254) (2007 -2010). PROPAINT investigated the protection against gaseous air pollutants offered by microclimate frames (mc-frames) for paintings and the degradation of varnishes due to air pollutants. The results from PROPAINT were used to optimise design for microclimate control in mc-frames.
