Atmospheric corrosion tests along the Norwegian-Russian border. Part II.

A bilateral exposure programme has been carried out along the Norwegian-Russian border in 1990–94. The results show that also in sub-arctic climate the corrosion is strongly effected by man-made pollution emission. A statistical analysis shows that SO2 and time of wetness is the dominating factors for the corrosion. The influence of chloride and pH in precipitation is also obvious.
