The results are given in a grid system with individual grid areas of 1\/2\u00b0 latitude times 1\u00b0 longitude. Emissions are given in tons SO2 per grid square as estimated for the year 1973, and have been divided in a constant component, and a seasonal component. Reservations are made with respect to the accuracy of the calculations and the sources of information.
