LST products derived from observations acquired by the Advanced Along-Track Scanning<br \/>\nRadiometer (AATSR), the Multi-Functional Transport Satellite (MTSAT), and the Geostationary Operational Environmental<br \/>\nSatellite (GOES) were studied here. Following previously established best-practices on LST validation, the evaluation<br \/>\nincludes both a qualitative component addressing general issues with the data, as well as a quantitative component, which compares the LST products directly against a reference dataset. For the latter satellite LST is compared against both ground-based in situ datasets acting as a source of absolute reference data and against independent satellite-based LST products from other sensors to provide a spatially exhaustive relative comparison. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"_searchwp_excluded":"","_id":"","_status":"PUBLISHED","_sync_date":"2026-06-26 13:10:52","footnotes":""},"nva_tax_category":[1055],"class_list":["post-89962","nva_publication","type-nva_publication","status-publish","hentry","nva_tax_category-report"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/nilu.gnist.dev\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/nva_publication\/89962","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/nilu.gnist.dev\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/nva_publication"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/nilu.gnist.dev\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/nva_publication"}],"version-history":[{"count":1,"href":"https:\/\/nilu.gnist.dev\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/nva_publication\/89962\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":89963,"href":"https:\/\/nilu.gnist.dev\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/nva_publication\/89962\/revisions\/89963"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/nilu.gnist.dev\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=89962"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"nva_tax_category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/nilu.gnist.dev\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/nva_tax_category?post=89962"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
