Welcome to 200.000+ data files<\/h2>\n

The ACTRIS portal lets you explore FAIR<\/a> data on approximately 150 atmospheric variables for aerosol, cloud, and trace gases measured at around 600 facilities worldwide. Measurements are taken at ground level and in profiles up to 10-15 km above ground. Some records date back decades.<\/p>\n

The portal is continuously updated with data. Currently it provides access to over 200,000 data files, and there is still more to come! The portal also provides access to a growing number of tools and services associated with the data.<\/p>\n

Join us in the coming months for useful demonstrations and events designed to help you navigate and utilize the portal. Your feedback is crucial as we prepare to launch the stable version in December, followed by online demonstrations.<\/p>\n

Great collaborative effort<\/h2>\n

Launching the data portal is a large step forward for ACTRIS ERIC<\/a>. It provides significantly improved interdisciplinary access to aerosol, cloud, and trace gases observational data, fundamental variables from chambers and laboratories. It is also a useful tool in our task to understand the atmosphere and combat climate change.<\/p>\n

The data portal is made possible by the long collaborative and consistent efforts of over 30 dedicated scientists and system developers from eight leading research organizations in Norway, France, Italy, Finland, and Spain.<\/p>\n

NILU leads the ACTRIS data centre through its association with ACTRIS ERIC and national node ACTRIS-Norway. ACTRIS DC consists of around 20 full time positions distributed at the partner institutions, and more than 30 persons are involved in the work.<\/p>\n

Seven persons at NILU work relentlessly to develop and maintain this portal and data flow. NILU has been associated with ACTRIS right from its inception, demonstrating its commitment in making FAIR atmospheric data available to monitor air quality and combat climate change.<\/p>\n
