{"id":51169,"date":"2023-05-10T13:29:22","date_gmt":"2023-05-10T11:29:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nilu.gnist.dev\/?post_type=project&#038;p=51169"},"modified":"2023-05-10T13:54:42","modified_gmt":"2023-05-10T11:54:42","slug":"2591731","status":"CONCLUDED","type":"project","link":"https:\/\/nilu.gnist.dev\/en\/project\/2591731\/","title":{"rendered":"Dispersion modeling of air pollution from \u00c5rdal Metallverk"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"margin-left: 2px;\">NILU has studied the effect of aluminum production on the environment around Norwegian aluminum smelters by doing calculations and measurements since the early 1970s.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left: 2px;\">In this project, surface concentrations have been calculated for SO<sub>2<\/sub>, dust and fluorides, as well as the metal components listed in the emission permit close to the smelter in \u00c5rdal, Western Norway.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left: 2px;\">The calculations are based on a conservative methodology (CONDEP) and the emission inventories are taken from the emissions permit as a worst-case assessment.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left: 2px;\">The mapping provides answers as to whether there is a risk of certain pollution components being exceeded, or whether the emissions indicate ground concentrations below the current limit values.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left: 2px;\">For example, the results show that the limit values for SO<sub>2<\/sub> around the plant will not be exceeded by a good margin.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"template":"","class_list":["post-51169","project","type-project","status-publish","hentry","projects_funding-ardal-metallverk-en","projects_funding-hydro-aluminium-as-en","projects_institution-7460-en"],"acf":[],"start_date":"01\/09\/2021","end_date":"31\/12\/2021","_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/nilu.gnist.dev\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/project\/51169","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/nilu.gnist.dev\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/project"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/nilu.gnist.dev\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/project"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/nilu.gnist.dev\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=51169"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
