Om
Dr. Pawel Rostkowski er seniorforsker ved avdeling for miljøkjemi og helse. Han spesialiserer seg på miljøanalytisk kjemi, med fokus på identifisering og karakterisering av nye miljøgifter, spesielt gjennom non-target og suspect screening-metoder ved bruk av høyoppløselig massespektrometri.
Gjennom sin karriere har Rostkowski utviklet innovative metoder for å oppdage organiske miljøgifter i ulike miljømatriser, produkter og materialer i kontakt med mat.
I tillegg til sin forskning spiller han en aktiv rolle i flere internasjonale vitenskapelige og regulatoriske organisasjoner. Han sitter i styringskomiteen for NORMAN-nettverket, som setter søkelys på ny forurensning i Europa, og representerer Norge i European Environment Information and Observation Network (EIONET) Chemicals Expert Group.
Han er også en del av BP4NTA (Benchmarking and Prioritization of Non-Target Analysis), som arbeider for å fremme analytiske non-target-teknikker og etablere beste praksis for prioritering av ukjente miljøforurensninger. Videre bidrar Rostkowski som ekspert i ISO-teknisk komité ISO/TC 147/SC 2/WG 85, som er dedikert til å utvikle standarder for non-target screening og forbedre metodene for miljøovervåking og risikovurdering.
