Dr. Pernilla Bohlin Nizzetto er forskningsdirektør og leder for NILUs avdeling for Miljøkjemi og helse.
Hun har mastergrad i Kjemi (MSc) og doktorgrad (PhD) i Arbeids- og Miljømedisin fra Gøteborgs Universitet i Sverige i samarbeid med Lancaster University i Storbritannia. Hun har også en 2-årig post-doc fra RECETOX ved Masaryk University i Tsjekkia.
Nizzetto koordinerer siden 2022 Horizon Europe-prosjektet INQUIRE (Identification of chemical and biological determinants, their sources, and strategies to promote healthier homes in Europe) som er en del av EUs IDEAL Cluster. I INQUIRE er målet å forbedre luftkvalitet og redusere forekomst og eksponering mot helseskadelige stoffer i innemiljøer.
I løpet av sine 15 år som forsker innenfor miljøkjemi har Nizzetto hatt fokus på miljøkjemiske problemstillinger innendørs og utendørs med ønske om å beskytte mennesker, miljø og økosystemer.
