THE "COMPASS" PROJECT: ATMOSPHERIC PATWAYS AND IMPACTS

As a part of the OECD \"Compass\" project, six important air residuals from fossil fuel energy production are discussed with respect to atmospheric pathways and impacts. The residuals are: Sulphur oxides, nitrogen oxides, organic compounds, mercury, cadmium anp carbon dioxide. The following impact categories are treated Health, visibility, climate, water quality and aquatic lilte, soil quality, vegetation, and materials.
